There are many tributes to Rod Stewart around the world so why is Dylan Cassidy’s Tribute described as The Worlds No 1 Look-alike Sound-alike Tribute to Rod Stewart "The Next Best Thing" Because to deserve this title you have to believe that you are watching the original artist, and that is exactly what you feel when you see this show.
Dylan Cassidy embraced by Penny Lancaster (Rods wife) is the only alternative
No wigs any gimmicks just a striking similarity both visually and vocally, gifted with not only the look and the voice; Dylan has taken his tribute to Rod one-step further with his full live band.
Dylan is constantly stopped at airports restaurants, just about everywhere he is mistaken for the real deal. Dylan is constantly in demand for concerts, theatres, meet and greet, other work may include opening of shops, shopping centres, switching on, the lights, celebrity parties, He has convinced many unsuspecting guests when booked for a surprise appearance, on yachts and private parties for the discerning client.

He now has an article called Exceptional Tributes, Recently Gary contacted Dylan from New York as he said that he would like to interview Dylan because of his contribution as a world class Tribute Artist what a privilege!
Whilst at a Rod Stewart concert Dylan was mobbed by fans and escorted to Rod Stewarts dressing room by Spanish security guards, who thought he was Rod Stewart, he came face to face with Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster. Although Dylan felt embarrassed by the whole situation, they on the other hand saw the funny side of it.
Penny Lancaster gives Dylan Cassidy the seal of approval
Dylan Cassidy’s stage show is packed with energy and charisma, like Rod he is witty not brash and oozes panache and class. The immense vibrancy of his performance draws the audience into believing they are with the great man himself.
Included in Dylan’s show all the great rock classics such as Baby Jane, Sailing Maggie May and more plus songs from The Great American Songbook
Dylan Cassidy is The Next Best Thing
Dylan was probably one of the first ROD STEWART TRIBUTE Show’s long before tribute shows were as popular as they are to-day. Back in the 80’s when Rod had the long hair the leopard skin cat suit and the visor, Dylan was doing the same. Dylan’s Rod Stewart show was then part of a much bigger show along with other tributes who toured the theatres a sort of Stars in Your Eyes theatre show (Starz on Stage) long before the popular TV show was even thought of. The success of the show continued for many years, but like all good things the show came to an end and all the performers went on to do other things.
Dylan primarily from a musical theatre background went on to do other things within the industry. After being Rod Stewart for so long it seemed only natural that Dylan would want to do something quite different and craved to be himself again this is when he formed an original band Fly, who had minor chart success and along with Bananarama went on to be support band to a 20,000 strong crowd for the very famous SPECIALS who were number one at the time with the hit GHOST TOWN. Sadly, the record deal for Dylan’s original band Fly was not quite, as was promised and the band did not fly anymore.
It was now back to musical theatre and the acting skills learned early in his career were a god send for parts in
Jesus Christ Superstar
The Blues Brothers
Starz on stage
Some TV and film work (small parts mainly) and heaps of jingles (adverts) and voice over’s.

Dylan has worked with many up and coming artists and actors who are now household names, unfortunately Dylan himself never really got the lucky break.
Rod was still under his skin and was one of the parts he enjoyed playing most of all, because being Rod there were parts of himself that he was able to nurture, his acting, performing, stage craft and sheer good old Rock & Roll, and so here now was Rod again, Touring constantly In Europe and performing his Rod Stewart show for the last 10 years Dylan has entertained and delighted in excess of 450,000 happy fans. The amount of people who remark that the whole persona is just incredible is very encouraging, So here you have it a little story about a big personality doing what he loves best.
